Camp Hebron 30 & Older Singles Retreat ~ By Jen Achey

This weekend Firestarters went to Camp Hebron in Halifax, PA, to minister at a 30 & older singles retreat. Brian Hock, the leader of the 30 & older singles ministry at The Worship Center, organized the retreat. People came from a variety of places including Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland... There was also a variety of ethnic backgrounds represented including people from Germany, Peru, Singapore, China... etc. There were 20 people who attended all together.

On Friday night, during the first time of worship God spoke to Jen Achey, telling her to invite people to receive prayer for healing. Various people were prayed for and healed. What a great start to the weekend! It really set the stage for the group to expect God to show up and change lives.

One man, Mark Cragle from Wilkes-Barre, PA, was on crutches due to a serious knee injury in which ligament was torn and cartilage was damaged and due to nerve damage in his ankle. He was healed and no longer needs the crutches or knee brace. He says "I am now walking better than I have in 8 years!"

Another lady, Hanne Palmer from Palmyra, PA, was healed from childhood abuse. In her own words, "I was abused as a child and during counseling I was encouraged to visualize myself as a child. I always saw her sad with her head down sitting under a tree. After praying for healing during the following worship session, I saw (the child) dancing in the grass, twirling, (in a) colorful flowery dress, flowers, with lots of colors and feeling free and joyful!"

God did more things during this retreat than we could ever put on this blog entry. Many people were encouraged and healed and left ready to take testimonies of God's love and power back to their families and friends.
